The Everyday Mathematics Routines learning module is designed to familiarize you with the Everyday Mathematics routines. This module will also help you start thinking about how to set up your classroom to implement Everyday Mathematics.

Module Format

This module consists of videos, pictures, discussions, resources, and a self-assessment. Completing this module will take about 75 minutes. You don’t have to do it all in one sitting, and the system will keep track of your progress for you.

  • Prepare the daily classroom routines and displays for your classroom
  • Understand the benefits that daily routines provide for your children
  • Organize your classroom for Everyday Mathematics lessons

  • Teacher’s Lesson Guide Volume 1
  • Teacher’s Reference Manual
  • Sticky notes (for tabbing pages in your Teacher’s Lesson Guide Volume 1 or Teacher’s Reference Manual)
  • Pencil (for taking notes)
    • What do you do if you do not have all the components listed above?

      You will still be able to complete the module even if do not have the items listed above. Though, following along and making notes in the Teacher’s Lesson Guide can be particularly helpful. If you do not have Classroom Resource Package components, you may want to ask your principal to purchase the missing component(s) and ask to borrow the item from another teacher until you have your own.
